State Tested Nurses Aide (Hospice STNA)
About The Position
The State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) provides care to assigned residents under the direction of a Case Manager/DON. Care is provided in accordance with resident assessments and care plans, and as directed by nursing management. The STNA works with other licensed care staff to coordinate appropriate resident care and follows Company nursing policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Suncrest Hospice describes its approach as providing exceptional care and service by increasing staff-to-patient ratios, increasing clinical visits, and lowering clinician caseloads. The role involves close one-to-one work with patients, collaboration with a patient care team and community organizations, and the ability to work independently.
Requirements
- State Tested Nursing Assistant certification in the state(s) of practice.
- CPR certification.
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, reliable transportation, and willingness to drive.
- Ability to work well within a team environment and collaborate with the patient care team.
- Ability to work independently on a day-to-day basis.
- Strong commitment to improving quality of life while partnering with community organizations in patient care.

Responsibilities
- Provide care to assigned residents in accordance with resident assessments and care plans and as directed by nursing management.
