About The Position

Th is position provides project management and operational support for Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) initiatives across Minnesota State Colleges and Universities. The Project Manager coordinates cross-functional, matrixed teams; manages scope, schedule, and budget; and ensures deliverables meet institutional goals and compliance requirements. In addition to day-to-day project operations, the role contributes to business process design, testing, and a structured continuous improvement cycle that delivers sustainable, high-impact outcomes for all institutions.

Requirements

  • Four ( 4 ) years of professional experience supporting or managing projects, programs, or process improvement initiatives in human resources, higher education, or government. A bachelor's degree may substitute for one years of professional experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large projects from inception through evaluation, including scope definition, requirements, budgets, constraints, and communications.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, and the ability to communicate with a diverse set of stakeholders from business and technical communities.
  • Experience facilitating meetings, workshops, and/or training sessions with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to facilitate , coach, and remove obstacles (impediments) for the team.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating diverse project teams in a complex, matrixed organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience implementing Lean, Kaizen, or similar continuous improvement programs.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Proficiency using analytical tools to interpret, cleanse, organize, and present data.
  • Experience interpreting employment law, rules, regulations and personal agreements sufficient to ensure compliance and mitigate risk
  • Demonstrated ability to make well-informed, timely , and data-driven decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with leaders and other key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to create an environment that encourages cooperation, motivation, innovation, and high-performance teamwork.
