About The Position
The State Pre-K Assistant Teacher instructs 4-year-old children based on each child’s needs and program requirements, helping prepare them for kindergarten and beyond. The role supports the daily care of children in the classroom while following licensing guidelines, company standards, and grant program requirements. Assistant Teachers observe and assess children, plan for their learning, communicate with families, complete training in childcare, preschool, and child development, and implement curriculum through fun, interactive learning experiences. The position requires working indoors or outdoors and engaging in physical activity with children.
Requirements
- High school diploma and six hours of college credit in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Experience in a licensed childcare center or a related field.
- Ability to meet state education requirements and center requirements.
- Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field, or an active Preschool CDA.
