About The Position

Childtime of Mechanicville is hiring an Assistant Teacher to help provide daily care and support children’s learning and development. The role involves following licensing guidelines and company standards, maintaining a fun, interactive, clean, and organized classroom, and developing skills in observing, assessing, and planning for children and communicating effectively with families. The position includes extensive training on childcare, preschool, and child development topics. The workweek is Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• Ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
• Energetic and dependable, with a passion for working with children.

Responsibilities

• Follow all licensing guidelines and company standards to ensure the daily care of every child.
• Maintain a fun, interactive classroom that is clean and organized.
• Observe, assess, and plan for children.
• Communicate effectively with families.
• Complete training on childcare, preschool, and child development topics.
• Engage in physical activity with children, indoors or outdoors.
