About The Position
The State Pre-K Assistant Teacher instructs 4-year-old children according to each child’s needs and program requirements, helping prepare them for kindergarten and beyond. The role supports the daily care of every child while following licensing guidelines, company standards, and grant program requirements. The Assistant Teacher observes, assesses, and plans for children; communicates effectively with families; completes training on child care, preschool, and child development; and implements curriculum through fun, interactive learning experiences. The position involves engaging with children indoors and outdoors and participating in physical activity with them.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field, or an active CDA in Preschool.
- Experience in a licensed childcare center or a related field.
- Ability to meet state education requirements and center requirements.
- Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
- Energetic, dependable, and passionate approach to the work.
