About The Position

EG Group is hiring a Starbucks Shift Supervisor in Montrose. The role involves helping deliver outstanding customer service, preparing coffee, food, and beverages to brand standards, maintaining store quality and safety, and supporting smooth daily operations. Working alongside the Store Manager, the Shift Supervisor leads and motivates colleagues, supports their training and development, and takes ownership of shifts in the Store Manager’s absence. Flexible working options are available, with shifts that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and busy travel periods. Full-time hours are 25 or more per week, part-time hours are 8–24 per week, and flexible shifts have a minimum of 8 hours per week. A full-time average shift is 8 hours. As this is a food establishment, there may be potential exposure to workplace allergens.

Requirements

Experience in hospitality, retail, or another customer-focused environment.
Passion for excellent customer service and creating great customer experiences.
Confidence leading, motivating, and supporting a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive attitude and ability to make decisions and take ownership.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Willingness to learn, develop, and progress in a career.
Enthusiasm for making an impact and helping drive team success.

Previous supervisory experience is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily operations, delegate tasks, motivate colleagues, and support their training and development.
Create welcoming customer experiences and deliver outstanding service.
Assist the Store Manager with stock control, ordering, banking, administration, and accurate recordkeeping.
Help maintain food safety, health and safety, cleanliness, and quality standards.
Maintain an inviting, vibrant, and well-presented store environment.
Set a positive example, support the team during busy periods, and keep operations running smoothly when needed.
Prepare coffee, food, and beverages to brand standards, ensuring quality and consistency.
Take ownership of shifts and make decisions in the Store Manager’s absence.
