About The Position

The Starbucks Counter Attendant is responsible for creating a great guest experience. Duties include taking guest orders, recommending beverages, food and retail items, handling cash, and keeping the work area clean, organized and stocked. The attendant practices and promotes Graton Resort & Casino's company-wide culture and service standards, prepares food and beverages, resolves guest complaints, and follows health and safety guidelines.

Requirements

• Communicate effectively with guests, team members and management in written and verbal form.
• Obtain a gaming license from the Graton Gaming Commission.
• Possess or obtain a California Food Handler Certification.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Handle a flexible schedule and work weekends, holidays and all shifts.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
• Stand for the duration of the shift and bend and reach to a height of six feet, with or without assistance.
• Have hand/eye coordination and the ability to use sensory faculties.

Responsibilities

• Practice, support and promote Graton Resort & Casino's company-wide culture and demonstrate its Service Standards.
• Greet guests promptly with a smile and pleasant disposition.
• Prepare food and beverage items for guests.
• Use suggestive selling techniques.
• Maintain cleanliness and keep outlet supplies well stocked.
• Operate the Point of Sale system, handle cash, and accurately record guest orders.
• Resolve guest complaints.
• Complete side work and additional daily tasks.
• Follow health and safety guidelines.
