About The Position

This position performs concessions and cash operations at Headwaters at St Paul RiverCentre. The primary responsibilities are greeting guests, serving food and beverages, setting up, stocking, and breaking down concession stands, carts, and portables, maintaining accurate counts, and collecting payment for all food and beverages served. The role may also involve front-of-house food preparation, including pretzels, salads, and sandwiches. Employees complete assigned setup, breakdown, and cleaning duties and follow company and applicable local, state, and national requirements for food quality, sanitation, and safety. This is an on-call union position at the Saint Paul RiverCentre, a busy event and convention venue hosting conferences, corporate gatherings, galas, and community events.

Requirements

Availability to work nights and weekends as needed.
Ability to remain stationary for 75% of the time and position oneself to move about.
Ability to operate and use food and beverage tools and equipment.
Ability to communicate with guests, employees, and management.
Ability to frequently move up to 42 pounds.
Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

Alcohol service certification, or ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire.
Food handling certification, or ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Greet guests, take orders, serve food and beverages, total receipts, and collect payments.
Request appropriate identification from guests purchasing alcoholic beverages when their legal age is questionable (under age 30).
Stock and maintain supplies, refrigerators, dispensers, and display cases; replace soda and CO2 tanks as needed to avoid interruptions in service.
Transport soiled dishes and glassware to kitchen and concession breakdown stations.
Sweep and mop floors.
Prepare front-of-house food items as needed, such as pretzels, salads, and sandwiches.
Set up and break down concession stands, portables, deli carts, espresso bar dining tables, and equipment.
Complete all duties on checklists, including cleaning duties.
Comply with company and applicable local, state, and national regulations concerning food quality, sanitation, and safety.
Perform other duties as assigned.
