About The Position

The Dishwasher at Saint Paul RiverCentre performs dishwashing activities and is primarily responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas, storerooms, and equipment. The role also transports food, china, and equipment between storage and work areas. RiverCentre’s culinary team supports large-scale events in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where preparation, communication, and teamwork are important.

Requirements

Availability to work nights and weekends as needed.
Ability to move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to operate and use dishwashing-station tools, equipment, and chemicals.
Ability to communicate with employees and management.
Required vision abilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Ability to position oneself and move about regularly.

Responsibilities

Scrape food from dirty dishes; rack and wash china, glassware, and flatware by hand or machine.
Wash dishes, pots, pans, and trays.
Transport supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
Return clean kitchen utensils and equipment to their proper storage locations.
Clean kitchen equipment.
Communicate with the supervisor about supply needs and equipment maintenance.
Segregate and remove trash and garbage, placing it in designated containers.
Take out trash and recycling; clean and maintain the interior and exterior trash areas.
Sweep and mop floors.
Load and/or unload trucks picking up or delivering food and supplies.
