Staffing Specialist
About The Position
Surge Staffing is seeking a motivated, energetic, and customer-focused Staffing Specialist for a full-time, permanent internal position. The role is suited to people with sales, customer service, recruiting, or business development experience who want to build a career in staffing and workforce solutions. The position combines recruiting and candidate onboarding, customer and employee support, client relationship management, sales and business development, and branch administrative support. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment and help support branch growth and revenue goals.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of sales and/or customer service experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, and results-driven mindset.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally to client locations as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in recruiting, staffing, human resources, customer service, or business development.
- Leadership or supervisory experience.
- Skills in customer service, recruiting, sales, business development, relationship management, talent acquisition, lead generation, account management, interviewing, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service to clients and temporary employees.
- Recruit, screen, interview, and onboard qualified candidates.
- Source candidates through job boards, resume databases, referrals, and recruiting platforms.
- Match candidate skills and experience with client staffing needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and temporary associates.
- Conduct follow-up calls to support employee satisfaction and successful placements.
- Generate and develop new business opportunities through sales and networking.
- Perform client service calls and outside sales visits to maintain and grow business partnerships.
- Promote Surge Staffing services and identify additional staffing solutions for customers.
- Support branch operations with administrative and data entry tasks.
- Assist with employee coaching, performance management, and retention efforts.
- Resolve employee and client concerns professionally and promptly.
- Support branch growth initiatives and contribute to overall revenue goals.
