About The Position

Surge Staffing is seeking a motivated, energetic, and customer-focused Staffing Specialist to join its growing team. This is a full-time, permanent internal position for someone with sales, customer service, recruiting, or business development experience who wants to build a career in staffing and workforce solutions. The role supports clients and temporary employees, recruits and places candidates, develops business relationships, and assists with branch operations and growth. The position calls for a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of sales and/or customer service experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, and results-driven mindset.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally to client locations as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in recruiting, staffing, human resources, customer service, or business development.
• Leadership or supervisory experience.
• Skills in customer service, recruiting, sales, business development, relationship management, talent acquisition, lead generation, account management, interviewing, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service to clients and temporary employees.
• Recruit, screen, interview, and onboard qualified candidates.
• Source candidates through job boards, resume databases, referrals, and recruiting platforms.
• Match candidate skills and experience with client staffing needs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and temporary associates.
• Conduct follow-up calls to support employee satisfaction and successful placements.
• Generate and develop new business opportunities through sales and networking.
• Perform client service calls and outside sales visits to maintain and grow business partnerships.
• Promote Surge Staffing services and identify additional staffing solutions for customers.
• Support branch operations through administrative and data entry tasks.
• Assist with employee coaching, performance management, and retention efforts.
• Resolve employee and client concerns professionally and in a timely manner.
• Support branch growth initiatives and contribute to overall revenue goals.
