About The Position

Always Compassionate Home Care is seeking a per diem Staffing Coordinator to join its coordination team in Melville. The team works directly with caregivers to help ensure clients receive compassionate care. Coordinators support care delivery through scheduling and ongoing communication with the PCA/HHA Division. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday and pays $23–$25 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a home care or health care setting.
• At least 2 years of staffing or scheduling experience.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong customer service background.

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of New York State Department of Health home care operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain schedules for home care clients and schedule home care staff accordingly.
• Communicate schedule assignments to staff and clients.
• Collaborate with the recruitment department on hiring HHAs and PCAs for difficult-to-serve geographical areas.
• Document and report to the Supervisor changes in client status, service requirements, or assigned aides, as well as incidents and complaints.
• Partner with recruiters and intake coordinators to ensure immediate and effective care coverage.
• Communicate relevant information to nurses and home care clients.
• Follow up with clients and families about schedule changes and service issues.
