About The Position

Ignite Medical Resort Chesterton is seeking an experienced Staffing/Nurse Scheduler. This role involves maintaining the nursing department's schedule in partnership with the DON and ADON. The scheduler will be the primary contact for nurses and CNAs regarding shift scheduling, vacations, and covering gaps in coverage. There may be instances where direct patient care is needed, making an LPN license or CNA certification preferred.

Requirements

Solid working knowledge of Excel.
Previous scheduling experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.
LPN licensure / CNA certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain the nursing department's schedule in partnership with the DON and ADON.
Serve as the main point of contact for all nurses and CNAs for scheduling of shifts and vacations.
Assist in covering gaps in coverage when they arise.
Provide direct patient care when needed.
