About The Position

Symphony Applewood is part of Symphony Care Network, a portfolio of skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers in Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois. The Staffing Coordinator/Scheduler is responsible for staffing CNAs and Licensed Nurses and works closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) to ensure appropriate staffing as needs arise. The role includes maintaining schedules and staffing records, assisting with recruitment and hiring coordination, and supporting timecard, overtime, and attendance processes.

Requirements

Ability to relate to staff and coworkers and build relationships.
Working knowledge of staff scheduling.
Solid computer and email skills.
EMR experience.
Ability to work flexible hours.
CNA certification required.

Experience working in a long-term care (LTC) or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

Maintain appropriate staffing levels.
Maintain master, daily, and monthly schedules.
Maintain the open position report.
Assist with recruitment of CNAs and Licensed Nurses.
Coordinate the hiring of new staff with Human Resources.
Approve timecards and overtime.
Track attendance for all CNA and Nursing staff.
