Staff Strategic Operations Program Manager - GTM

Mercury•Portland, OR
•$199,900 - $249,900

About The Position

Mercury is hiring a Staff Strategic Operations Program Manager for Go-to-Market (GTM). The role sits on Mercury’s Strategic Operations team and is embedded with GTM leadership, owning the end-to-end program to build a shared GTM Engine across Growth Product, Growth Marketing, Revenue, and GTM Data. The engine is intended to create a shared view of customers and touchpoints, trusted attribution, and campaigns with common targeting and rules across channels. The program manager will create and run the integrated plan, manage dependencies and risks, drive decisions through ambiguity, and establish the planning and review processes that help teams coordinate. The role also makes program status understandable through dashboards, written updates, and a single source of truth, and builds automation and agentic flows to run programs efficiently and with high quality.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience running cross-functional programs.
  • Experience working closely with a CRM, lifecycle, CDP, or attribution stack such as Salesforce, Customer.io, Segment, or equivalent.
  • Ability to synthesize disparate inputs into a clear picture of current status and decisions needed.
  • Strong structured communication.
  • Bias to action, including taking ownership of unassigned next steps and resolving ambiguity directly.
  • Low ego and comfort in a behind-the-scenes role.
  • AI fluency, with examples of automating work and demonstrating the before and after.

Nice To Haves

  • Cross-functional program experience in B2B SaaS or fintech.

Responsibilities

  • Build and run the integrated GTM Engine plan across Growth Product, Growth Marketing, Revenue, and GTM Data, including milestones, dependencies, critical path, and cross-team handoffs.
  • Maintain a living RAID log and decision log with clear owners, identify risks early, and bring options when dependencies slip.
  • Clarify ownership, surface tradeoffs, and drive decisions through ambiguity using productive conflict.
  • Prepare GTM Review materials so leaders can focus on decisions rather than reconstructing status.
  • Design planning cycles, reviews, and launch-readiness checks for coordinated work across teams.
  • Make the program legible with dashboards, written updates, and a single source of truth for marketers, sales leaders, and data scientists.
  • Build automation and agentic flows to run programs efficiently and with high quality.
