About The Position

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in cloud-native architecture, including microservices, containers, and automation to deliver scalable and resilient platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in software design patterns, API design, and software prototyping to ensure maintainable and modular solutions.
  • Experience driving full software development lifecycle activities, including coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, and observability.
  • Skilled in debugging, remedial action, and problem-solving to maintain high-quality deliverables.
  • Ability to apply data-driven decision making to optimize engineering processes and measure success.
  • Demonstrated leadership in mentoring engineers and influencing technical decisions.
  • Familiarity with DevOps engineering practices to enhance developer productivity and platform capabilities.
  • Commitment to innovation and continuous improvement within complex technical environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • 6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
  • Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices and joining in creating accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver platform capabilities including infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks aligned with roadmap and domain priorities.
  • Drive full software development lifecycle activities such as coding, testing, deployment, monitoring.
  • Apply cloud-native architecture principles to ensure scalable, resilient, and agile systems.
  • Conduct system design reviews to validate feasibility and ensure alignment with architectural best practices.
  • Build AI-driven applications and integrate ML components supporting automation and multi-step reasoning.
  • Mentor engineers, influence technical decisions, and promote engineering excellence through documentation and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex problems into actionable technical requirements and track success metrics.
  • Continuously improve processes, tools, and products by embracing innovation and data-driven decision making.
