About The Position

Anthropic is hiring a technical leader to own enterprise connector activation end to end, from connector discovery through first successful use and ongoing adoption. The role focuses on making Claude a connected enterprise product through zero-touch activation, a thriving connector ecosystem, and an enterprise control plane that enables organizations to adopt connectors confidently. The engineer will shape connector ecosystem foundations and governance controls, partner closely with product, design, data science, and sales, and take ownership of product priorities and delivery.

Requirements

  • Experience shipping growth or activation work, including onboarding flows, funnels, experimentation, and measuring effects on usage.
  • Comfort with authorization and identity technologies, including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SSO, and ability to make setup flows simple without compromising security.
  • Experience building on large platform APIs such as Microsoft Graph or Google Workspace, and debugging failures across system boundaries.
  • Experience building platform or ecosystem surfaces relied on by other teams or developers, with an emphasis on durable, well-designed APIs.
  • Understanding of enterprise administrators’ and security teams’ needs for policy, permissions, and governance at scale.
  • Ability to use data and user research to decide what to build and explain tradeoffs to product and design partners.
  • Ability to drive cross-team and cross-company alignment and ship through influence rather than authority.
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience; the field of study must be relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience.
  • Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position.

Nice To Haves

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, ideally including 2+ years at Staff level or equivalent technical leadership.
  • Contributed to or implemented emerging authorization standards, such as IETF OAuth drafts or MCP authorization.
  • Experience with data governance or information protection, such as sensitivity labels or DLP.
  • Experience building admin consoles or policy engines for multi-tenant SaaS.
  • Experience running growth experiments on activation funnels.
  • Experience building AI products or agent tool integrations such as MCP.
  • Experience helping grow a developer or partner ecosystem around a platform.

Responsibilities

  • Own and measure the connector activation funnel from discovery to first use and habitual use, identify drop-offs, and improve them.
  • Build and run experiments on default connectors, in-product suggestions, connector requests, and onboarding flows.
  • Make connector setup close to zero-touch, using standards such as Cross App Access (XAA) and the MCP authorization specification so one approval can enable a connector organization-wide.
  • Improve the first-use experience and reliability of frequently used connectors, including Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
  • Build reusable platform components that make connectors easier to launch, discover, and activate.
  • Develop the enterprise control plane, including admin controls and governance features such as domain restrictions, labels, and permissions.
  • Use usage data and customer feedback with product, design, data science, and sales partners to set priorities.
  • Set technical direction and team standards, mentor engineers, and lead through influence.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation and benefits.
  • Optional equity donation matching.
  • Generous vacation and parental leave.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • Office space for collaboration with colleagues.
  • Visa sponsorship, with immigration-lawyer support where sponsorship can be provided.
