About The Position

LinkedIn’s Capacity & Efficiency Engineering team leads end-to-end infrastructure capacity planning and efficiency strategy. The team builds data, models, and planning systems that connect infrastructure demand to business growth, attribute costs to products, and forecast resource needs across infrastructure platforms. Its systems support decisions about infrastructure investment, capacity allocation, budget planning, and efficiency. The Staff Software Engineer will build foundational datasets, models, and tools for infrastructure visibility, cost attribution, and planning. As a technical leader, the engineer will set a high bar for technical excellence, mentor engineers, and partner with cross-functional stakeholders to lead solutions. The role is hybrid, performed from home and a LinkedIn office on select days according to team business needs.
