Staff Software Engineer, Analytics Foundation

The job overview for this role is that Amplitude is seeking a Staff Product Engineer to take product ideas from ideation to implementation. The engineer will be responsible for building innovative interfaces, integrating with backend services, collaborating with cross-functional teams, leading engineering discussions, and participating in design and code reviews. • Take product ideas from ideation to implementation.
• Build innovative interfaces using Typescript, React+Redux, HTML, and CSS Modules.
• Work with the core frontend systems team to improve the design system and frontend architecture.
• Integrate with backend services and build endpoints using Node, GraphQL, Python, Postgres, and MySQL.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to iterate on the product.
• Lead engineering discussions and mentor others on engineering best practices.
• Participate in design and code reviews.
• Have 5 years of experience working in a frontend engineering role.
• Like to work closely with customers to build features and solve problems.
• Enjoy working in a technical leadership role on an engineering team.
• Have fluency with one or more JavaScript application frameworks (React, Angular, Ember, etc.).
• Enjoy building UIs with modern tools like Babel and ES6, React and Redux, Webpack and Typescript.
• Have a good understanding of current and emerging trends in web application development.
• Pride yourself in your excellent attention to detail and your design and UX sensibilities.
