About The Position

This part-time casual Staff RN position is in Endoscopy at Grant Medical Center. The RN provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings, and is accountable for nursing practice as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing. The RN delegates nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses and unlicensed assistive personnel according to the Ohio Nurse Practice Act and provides professional nursing care in accordance with department policies and nursing care standards. The role is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for assigned patients. Staff new to OhioHealth must attend New Nurse Orientation for two weeks upon hire. The department has scheduled staff to operate 24/7/365. The role requires a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency as part of a High Reliability Organization. Requirements

• Two years of experience in a similar role.
• Associate's degree required.
• Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio and/or a current Registered Nurse license in good standing with a multi-state compact state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• BSN required at five years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessments as applicable to the patient population or individual.
• Document planned nursing interventions based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems to achieve outcomes appropriate to patient needs.
• Evaluate and document patients' responses to nursing interventions and the achievement of outcomes at appropriate intervals.
• Revise the plan of care based on evaluative data as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in process improvement activities to achieve targeted measures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
• Carry out operational responsibilities.
• Maintain focus on safety, quality, and efficiency while performing job duties.
• Delegate nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses and unlicensed assistive personnel according to the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.
