About The Position

This part-time casual Staff RN position is in Endoscopy at Grant Medical Center. The nurse provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings, and is accountable for nursing practice as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing. The RN delegates nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses and unlicensed assistive personnel in accordance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act and provides professional nursing care according to department policies and nursing care standards. The role includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for assigned patients. Nurses new to OhioHealth attend New Nurse Orientation for two weeks upon hire. The department has scheduled staff to operate 24/7/365.

The position requires two years of experience in a similar role. An associate degree, BLS certification, and a current Ohio RN license or current RN license in good standing with a multistate compact state are required. A BSN is required by five years of employment. The work shift is day, with weekly hours as needed.

Requirements

• Two years of experience in a similar role.

• Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio, or a current Registered Nurse license in good standing with a multistate compact state.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessments as applicable to the population or individual.
• Document planned nursing interventions based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems to achieve outcomes appropriate to patient needs.
• Evaluate and document patients’ responses to nursing interventions and achievement of outcomes at appropriate intervals.
• Revise the plan of care based on evaluative data as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in process improvement activities to achieve targeted measures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
• Carry out operational responsibilities.
• Focus on safety, quality, and efficiency when performing job duties.
• Delegate nursing tasks to LPNs and UAPs in accordance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.
