About The Position

Provides professional nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department. The Registered Nurse may perform triage after documenting appropriate education and is responsible for assessing, reassessing, and delegating care for Emergency Department patients. The position offers professional growth and advancement at Columbus Regional Healthcare System, with an intimate hospital environment and access to resources from a large healthcare system.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing.
• Hold a current, valid North Carolina or compact-state Registered Nurse license.
• Hold BLS certification.
• Obtain ACLS and PALS certifications at the first opportunity after hire.
• Demonstrate competence in duties specific to all age groups and patients.

Nice To Haves

• CEN or CCRN certification.
• TNCC certification.
• One year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute-care medical-surgical unit or critical-care area is preferred.
• New graduates with mentoring experience in a CCU or ED will be considered.

Responsibilities
