About The Position

The Registered Staff Nurse – Level I works in the Emergency Care Department and, under the direction of the Clinical Manager, uses the nursing process to care for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients experiencing acute and chronic changes in their health. The nurse demonstrates professional growth and development by assuming Clinical Manager responsibilities when requested and/or in preparation for advancement to Level II.

The role is based in a typical acute health care setting and involves caring for patients with a wide range of medical and surgical problems. It requires a flexible schedule, including weekends, and work under stressful conditions with exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program, or obtain the degree before working as a registered nurse, as evidenced by primary source verification.
• Current Georgia RN license or a multistate license meeting eNLC criteria, or obtain licensure before beginning work as a registered nurse.
• American Heart Association BLS CPR certification is required.
• Nursing skills as defined in the Law Governing the Practice of Nursing in Georgia.
• One year of experience in an acute health care setting is preferred.
