About The Position

The ER Nurse, under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and nursing supervisor, provides and directs nursing care for patients in the emergency department. The RN delivers care appropriate to the needs of infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, and demonstrates a patient-centered approach to total nursing care. The role requires cooperation, flexibility, and resourcefulness when interacting with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital personnel. The RN plans, supervises, and evaluates patient nursing care, correlating the nursing process with the medical plan of care and applicable policies.

Requirements

Graduate of an approved school of nursing, as evidenced by verification of state licensure.
Current Tennessee or Compact State registered nurse license.
Current BLS certification.
Current ACLS certification; if not ACLS certified when hired, certification must be acquired within six months of hire.

Nice To Haves

Diploma preferred.
Two years of experience in a hospital or medical environment preferred.
