About The Position

The ER Nurse, under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and nursing supervisor, provides nursing care to emergency department patients and directs patient care. The RN delivers care appropriate to the needs of infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients, using a patient-centered approach to total nursing care. The role requires cooperation, flexibility, and resourcefulness when working with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital personnel. The RN plans, supervises, and evaluates patient nursing care and coordinates the nursing process with the medical plan of care and applicable policies.

Requirements

Graduate of an approved school of nursing, evidenced by verification of state licensure.
Current Tennessee or Compact State registered nurse license.
Current BLS certification.
Current ACLS certification, or acquire ACLS within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

Diploma preferred.
Two years of experience in a hospital or medical environment preferred.
