About The Position

Nu is hiring a Staff Product Operations professional for the AI Transformation Office (AITO), part of AI Core. AITO is Nubank’s central office driving company-wide AI transformation. It coordinates workstreams including function transformation, infrastructure, AI risk, AI cost, and communications, and works directly with the management team and senior leaders across the company.

The role is part of a small core team and brings first-hand industry experience of how AI operates at a more advanced company. The successful candidate will use those learnings to shape Nubank’s transformation, guide decisions about which AI solutions to build or buy, establish how progress is communicated to the management team, and remain hands-on in resolving blockers to important initiatives. The role will shape the direction, reach, and quality of Nubank’s AI transformation.

Responsibilities

• Use industry learnings, including what has and has not worked at leading companies, to shape Nubank’s AI strategy, priorities, sequencing, and operating model.
• Map Nubank’s internal AI solutions and support build-versus-buy decisions about tools, harnesses, and context layers; shape the scope of solutions built in-house.
• Structure weekly updates for Nubank’s management team, synthesizing workstream signals into a clear view of progress, risks, and decisions needed.
• Set ambitious targets for AI initiatives and define KPIs, measures, and mechanisms to assess their impact.
• Investigate and resolve blockers to critical initiatives across functions, including where there is no formal authority.
• Lead weekly workstream sessions with initiative owners to review gaps, ETAs, and resourcing; connect cross-workstream dependencies and escalate risks early.
