Staff Product Operations Engineer

ZT Systems•Secaucus, NJ
•$93,000 - $136,400

About The Position

The Product Operations Engineering team serves as the technical bridge between product design engineering, customers, and the global manufacturing organization. The Staff Product Operations Engineer combines manufacturing expertise, knowledge of the product design lifecycle, and cross-functional leadership to ensure customer requirements are accurately defined, interpreted, and translated into actionable direction for manufacturing. The role supports manufacturing readiness for hyperscale compute, storage, and high-density AI GPU systems. It connects customers, design engineering, and factory teams; addresses unclear ownership of technical needs; and helps provide a seamless customer experience through transparent collaboration, process excellence, and delivery of high-quality products to customer data centers. The position requires engineering depth, analytical rigor, stakeholder leadership, and effectiveness in fast-moving, high-pressure environments. The engineer represents factory considerations in customer engineering discussions, guides robust and manufacturable solutions, and helps teams prioritize and resolve issues across new product introduction (NPI) and mass production (MP) lifecycle stages.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, such as manufacturing, industrial, electrical, systems, or a related field.
  • 8–15 years of relevant engineering experience, or 6–12 years with a master's degree.
  • Experience in one or more of manufacturing engineering, test engineering, quality engineering, electrical engineering, or systems engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience working with or alongside customer-facing engineering groups.
  • Ability to clearly articulate technical issues and requirements across diverse stakeholder groups and interface effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to work across geographies, time zones, and cultures to align distributed teams.
  • Strong background in analytical methods, structured problem solving, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to convert complex, often data-driven topics into clear overviews and insights.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a demanding environment with changing workloads and deadlines.
  • Fluency with continuous improvement and lean programs.
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
