Urban Ridge Supplies•New York, NY
•$200,000 - $260,000•Onsite

About The Position

Mutiny is seeking a founding staff designer to define the product experience and design language for its agentic go-to-market platform. The designer will help establish interaction models, creative standards, feedback loops, design systems, and quality expectations for AI-native GTM software in an early-stage, evolving product category. The role focuses on designing how GTM teams request, shape, review, edit, publish, and learn from AI-generated work. The designer will also help improve the quality of the agent’s output by working closely with engineering on defaults, constraints, evaluations, brand adherence, and feedback loops. They will shape product strategy with founders and engineering, influence the roadmap, prototype emerging ideas, and help evolve how design, product, and engineering collaborate. Mutiny works together in person in New York City and is not a remote-first workplace. The company describes its environment as early, fast-moving, and ambiguous, with close collaboration among design, engineering, founders, and customers. Compensation range: $200,000–$260,000.

Requirements

  • Experience shipping real products that people use.
  • Unusually strong design taste and the ability to explain design judgments clearly, including why AI-generated assets feel generic or miss the mark and how to improve them.
  • Excitement about AI as a design medium; use of modern AI tools in personal work, rapid prototyping, and curiosity about new interaction patterns.
  • Ability to think in systems while attending to interaction and visual details, from product strategy and interaction models to typography and loading states.
  • Comfort working early in a product and company environment with ambiguity, strong opinions, and fast feedback loops.
  • Ability to bring taste, judgment, urgency, and candor, and to challenge founders and engineers constructively.
  • Willingness to work together in person in New York City; the role is not suited to someone seeking remote-first work.

Responsibilities

  • Design the core product surfaces where GTM teams request, shape, review, edit, publish, and learn from work.
  • Design new product areas, existing workflows, and connections between agents, assets, data, and users.
  • Partner with engineering to improve the creative quality of the AI agent, including defaults, constraints, evaluations, brand adherence, and feedback loops.
  • Shape product strategy with founders and engineering and influence the roadmap.
  • Prototype ideas before they are fully formed.
  • Help develop how design, product, and engineering work together in an AI-native company.
