About The Position

Grane Rx is hiring a full-time Staff Pharmacist for an overnight 7-on/7-off schedule at RIDC Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The pharmacist provides day-to-day pharmacy operations, processes and dispenses prescription medications, supports safe and compliant pharmacy practices, and works with pharmacy and order-entry technicians, prescribers, and other healthcare providers. Grane Rx is a customer-centered long-term care pharmacy company with over 30 years of experience providing pharmacy solutions and services.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
Current Pharmacist Licensure in Pennsylvania in good standing.
At least 1 year of recent experience in long-term care, retail, or hospital pharmacy.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; English is the primary language.
Strong customer service and time-management skills, and ability to problem solve.

Nice To Haves

Long-term care pharmacy experience is preferred.
Experience and knowledge of intravenous admixture services are preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day operational pharmacy services.
Work flexible hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Process new and refill patient prescription orders, prepare medications, and dispense them.
Work closely with Pharmacy Technicians and Order Entry Technicians in preparing and dispensing medications.
Interpret clinical information, including drug-drug, drug-disease, and drug-food interactions and allergies.
Dispense medications accurately and efficiently.
Communicate with prescribers and other healthcare providers.
Ensure safety practices and procedures are followed.
Assist in enforcing company and departmental policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal pharmacy-practice regulations.
Provide customer-centered service and strive to exceed customer expectations.
