About The Position

Grane Rx is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for a full-time overnight position on a 7-on/7-off schedule at RIDC Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The pharmacist provides day-to-day pharmacy operations, processes and dispenses prescriptions, supports safe and compliant pharmacy practices, and works with pharmacy and order-entry technicians, prescribers, and other healthcare providers. The role serves long-term care customers and emphasizes operational excellence and customer service.

Requirements

B.S. or PharmD degree in Pharmacy.
Current Pharmacist Licensure in Pennsylvania in good standing.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with English as the primary language.
Strong customer service and time-management skills, and the ability to problem solve.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of recent experience in long-term care, retail, or hospital pharmacy; long-term care experience is preferred.
Experience and knowledge of intravenous admixture services.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day operational pharmacy services.
Work flexible hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Process new and refill patient prescription orders; prepare and dispense medications.
Work with Pharmacy Technicians and Order Entry Technicians in preparing and dispensing medications.
Apply clinical interpretation skills, including identifying drug-drug, drug-disease, and drug-food interactions and allergies.
Dispense medications accurately and efficiently.
Communicate with prescribers and other healthcare providers.
Ensure safety practices and procedures are followed.
Assist in enforcing company and departmental policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal pharmacy regulations.
Provide customer-centered service and strive to exceed customer expectations.
