Clinical Staff Pharmacist - 7 on/7 off
About The Position
CPS, part of the Optum family of businesses, is hiring a full-time, exempt Virtual Clinical Pharmacist for a 7-on/7-off schedule. The pharmacist will work as part of a highly skilled team in a fast-paced environment from CPS’s centralized facility in Naperville, Illinois, addressing patient and medication-related questions. The role is based in an office setting in the greater Chicagoland area, designed to support pharmacist collaboration and a cohesive team environment while providing patient care to people across the country. The pharmacist will serve as an integral member of the patient care team and collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare providers via phone and live-feed camera. The position offers performance recognition, clear direction for success, and development opportunities for other roles.
Requirements
- Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy.
- Current Illinois pharmacist license in good standing, or ability to receive one before starting.
- Willingness and ability to obtain additional state licenses as requested by management.
- Experience using computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems.
- Proven ability to use pharmaceutical and medical reference literature to provide drug information to patients and prescribers.
Nice To Haves
- PharmD.
- At least 1 year of experience.
