About The Position

As a Staff Pharmacist with Express Scripts Pharmacy, you will verify and dispense medications in accordance with corporate and regulatory guidelines. You will maintain daily production, quality, and service levels while adjusting work priorities and activities to meet business needs. The role may also include training less experienced pharmacists. This position must be performed onsite at the Fairfield, Ohio location. The schedule is second shift: four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, from 2:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

Requirements

Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a B.S. in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree.
Current resident pharmacist license in good standing.
Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve issues.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to adapt in a changing environment.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to work a flexible schedule during peak volume times.

Responsibilities

Provide oversight and quality assurance to pharmacy technicians.
Interpret physicians’ or prescribers’ prescriptions.
Verify all medications leaving the pharmacy to ensure the correct patient, medication, quantity, and supplies before final verification.
Back up other pharmacists as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Train less experienced pharmacists as needed.
Maintain daily production, quality, and service levels, adapting work priorities and activities to business needs.
