Staff Pharmacist Part Time
About The Position
As a Staff Pharmacist at CVS Health, you help deliver accessible, lower-cost, high-quality care and support patients in managing prescriptions, chronic conditions, and specialty conditions. You support the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing Pharmacy Technician Support Staff and help manage, oversee, and operate all aspects of the pharmacy. The role includes responsibility for patient safety, professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, personnel and inventory management, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow management. You help keep customers and patients healthy through adoption and management of patient care programs. You are expected to lead with empathy and compassion, motivate and develop pharmacy support staff, identify opportunities and implement solutions to improve growth and performance, and adapt to a dynamic community healthcare setting. You also collaborate with colleagues, align others around shared purpose, contribute to a positive team culture, and apply your knowledge to drive healthy outcomes.
Requirements
- Active pharmacy license in the state of employment.
- Must not be on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
- Immunization certification through an accredited organization, such as APhA.
- Must be free of pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree.
Responsibilities
- Support the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing Pharmacy Technician Support Staff.
- Support the management, oversight, and operation of all aspects of the pharmacy.
- Contribute to patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and customer service.
- Support personnel management, inventory management, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow management.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs to help keep customers and patients healthy.
- Motivate, inspire, and develop Pharmacy Support Staff by balancing assignments, addressing development opportunities, and reducing knowledge gaps.
- Identify business opportunities and contribute to solutions that drive growth and improve pharmacy performance.
- Lead the implementation of solutions and help the team achieve specified goals.
- Adapt plans to change in a dynamic community healthcare setting.
- Collaborate with others and seek ways to deliver better outcomes.
