About The Position

NewYork-Presbyterian is hiring a full-time Critical Care Float Pool registered nurse for night shifts at NYP/Weill Cornell Medical Center. The role supports inpatient critical care units, including the Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, Neuroscience ICU, Cardiothoracic ICU, and Step-Down Units. Nurses also support the Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns by recovering post-Cesarean Section and post-procedural obstetrical patients in the PACU and participating in maternal emergency response. The position offers exposure to multiple specialties and high-acuity settings, along with flexible scheduling, shared clinical decision-making, supportive colleagues, and night-shift and float-pool differentials in addition to base pay. On-site presence is required, and employees must live within commuting distance; travel expenses are not reimbursed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Current New York State RN licensure.
• BCLS and ACLS certification.
• Proven ability to work autonomously in high-pressure situations.

Nice To Haves

• At least two years of experience as a Critical Care RN.
• Step-Down Unit experience.
• Cardiac Surgical experience.
• Experience caring for post-Cesarean Section patients or responding to obstetrical emergencies.

Responsibilities
