DOCTORS HOSPITAL OF AUGUSTA - HM - STAFF NP
About The Position
TeamHealth is hiring a full-time nurse practitioner or physician assistant for its established hospital medicine program at Doctors Hospital of Augusta. This daytime rounding position provides inpatient care in collaboration with experienced hospitalist physicians and a multidisciplinary team. The schedule is 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on a traditional 7-on/7-off rotation. The practice offers physician support, no solo clinician coverage, a closed 20-bed ICU, and a stable, well-supported environment. Inpatient experience is preferred, but new NP/PA graduates with a strong interest in hospital medicine are welcome to apply. Doctors Hospital of Augusta is a 350-bed full-service hospital, Level II Trauma Center, Certified Primary Stroke Center, and Accredited Chest Pain Center. The hospital uses Meditech EMR.
Requirements
- Must be a nurse practitioner or physician assistant.
- Inpatient experience is preferred; new graduates with a strong interest in hospital medicine are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities
- Conduct daily rounding on patients in the rehabilitation unit.
- Submit patient orders.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat hospitalized patients in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Coordinate care plans and facilitate communication with specialists, nursing staff, patients, and families.
- Manage admissions, discharges, and follow-up care as appropriate.
- Ensure timely documentation and order entry in the EMR.
