About The Position
Mission Hospital is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible nocturnist to join its inpatient medicine team in Asheville, North Carolina. The role offers the opportunity to practice high-acuity medicine at a regional referral center with advanced specialty support and multidisciplinary collaboration. Mission Hospital is described in the posting as a tertiary-care center, a teaching and referral facility, and the region’s only Level I Trauma Center. The position follows a 7-on/7-off schedule. Resident support is available, the ICU is closed, and the role involves no procedures or codes. The physician will work in a collegial, physician-led culture focused on quality and patient safety, with opportunities to teach internal medicine and family medicine residents.
Requirements
- MD or DO.
- Board certified or board eligible in internal medicine or family medicine.
- Eligible for a North Carolina medical license.
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient medicine care as a nocturnist.
