About The Position
TeamHealth is hiring a full-time nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join the hospital medicine team at Doctors Hospital of Augusta in Augusta, Georgia. The role follows a night-shift schedule from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., using a 7-on, 7-off block schedule. The hospital is a 350-bed full-service facility, a Level II trauma center, and a certified Primary Stroke Center and accredited Chest Pain Center. Its EMR is Meditech. The team works in a closed 20-bed ICU, and solo clinician coverage is not required. Typical nocturnist work includes admissions, cross coverage, medical consultations for burn patients, and responding to medical response team events and codes. The average number of night-shift admissions is 6–8.
Responsibilities
- Handle hospital admissions during the night shift.
- Provide cross coverage.
- Conduct medical consultations for burn patients.
- Respond with the hospital medicine team to medical response team events and codes.
