About The Position

TeamHealth is seeking an experienced nurse practitioner or physician assistant, or a motivated new graduate, to join its hospital medicine team at Doctors Hospital of Augusta in Georgia. This full-time role offers a collaborative practice environment, strong physician support, and a 7-on/7-off block schedule working a 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. swing shift. The clinician works alongside an experienced hospitalist physician; solo clinician coverage is not required. The hospital is a 350-bed full-service acute care hospital, a Level II Trauma Center, and a Certified Primary Stroke Center and Accredited Chest Pain Center. The electronic medical record is Meditech. Inpatient experience is preferred, but motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply. Average admissions during the shift range from 6 to 8 patients.

Requirements

Nurse practitioner or physician assistant; experienced clinicians or motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Inpatient experience preferred.

Manage cross-coverage patient care needs.
Enter and manage patient care orders, including pain management.
Coordinate specialty consults and assist with new admissions.
Collaborate closely with hospitalists and multidisciplinary care teams.
