About The Position

Solar Landscape is seeking a talented Staff Accountant to join their team. This role is ideal for an energetic, organized professional looking to grow their career in a renewable energy company within a highly entrepreneurial environment. The position will encompass responsibilities across all facets of financial accounting, including budgeting, analytics, reporting, audit preparation, monitoring, and ensuring compliance with financial reporting requirements.

Requirements

• A minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance from an accredited four-year college or university with at least 2 years of experience.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with different levels and functions of the organization as well as with external parties.
• Ability to work independently in a team-oriented and fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
• Ability to multitask and undertake complex tasks.
• Project-oriented with a goal to complete assignments on time.
• Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).

Nice To Haves

• CPA and public accounting experience is preferred.
• Prior experience with renewable energy industry or real estate accounting desired.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger; prepare and enter month end and other required journal entries.
• Assist with reconciling investment, equity, debt and partners distributions.
• Review and reconcile monthly transactions and balances for accuracy.
• Assist with preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements and budgets.
• Prepare work papers and various reports for external auditing.
• Preparation of monthly management reports, including “Budget vs. Actual” variance reports of portfolios under management and providing follow-up of significant variances.
• Assist with completion of the quarterly and annual reporting requirements and financial covenants to various parties.
• Administer obligations and responsibilities under the project agreements.
• Contribute to the Company special projects and support ad hoc requests as assigned and support.
