Responsibilities

  • Process and code accounts payable invoices to support timely and accurate vendor payments
  • Review and reconcile AMEX transactions, uploading activity accurately into the accounting system
  • Perform general ledger (GL) accounting activities, including account reconciliations, variance analysis, and quarterly expense accruals
  • Prepare and maintain amortization schedules for prepaid and capitalized costs, and complete related balance sheet reconciliations
  • Track receivables, work-in-process (WIP), and deposit activity for portfolio companies, providing timely financial information to deal teams
  • Update interest schedules for monthly ACH payments
  • Prepare weekly balance sheet recaps and assist with variance analysis
  • Reconcile check run data to vendor records on a routine basis to confirm accurate payment processing
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly close processes and contribute to process improvement efforts
  • Support SEC reporting activities, including preparation of Forms 10-K and 10-Q
  • Support SBA reporting requirements, including Forms 468 and 1031
  • Prepare internal management reports and assist with financial analysis
  • Assist with the preparation of investor and analyst presentation materials and supporting schedules
  • Review vendor data periodically to support annual Form 1099 preparation and distribution
  • Support internal and external audit requests by gathering and organizing required documentation
  • Complete special projects and ad hoc reporting as assigned by management
  • Participate in initiatives to enhance accounting systems and improve process efficiency
