Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in tax, accounting, or finance
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in accounting/finance
  • Direct experience with accounts receivable
  • Experience with financial reporting requirements
  • Experience reconciling both balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly in Excel
  • Willingness to remain flexible and adapt to change as we continue to grow as a company

Nice To Haves

  • Sage 100 Experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the period close by reconciling assigned general ledger accounts while ensuring all transactions are well-documented
  • Prepare bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts across multiple entities
  • Prepare detailed credit card reconciliations
  • Prepare and file multi-state and multi-entity sales and use tax returns
  • Prepare and file multi-state and multi-entity personal property tax returns
  • Prepare asset, liability, and capital account reconciliations by compiling and analyzing general ledger account information
  • Assist with annual financial audits, including the preparation of audit schedules and responding to audit inquiries.
  • Manage full cycle fixed assets.
  • Data entry, including processing customer sales orders and creating vendor purchase orders for subsidiaries
  • Prepare inventory cost analysis to prepare and post custom product builds
  • Provide information to the Accounting Manager by researching and analyzing accounting data
  • Preparing reports and reconciling discrepancies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
