About The Position

We're looking for a motivated Staff Accountant to join our team and play a key role in managing financial operations, improving processes, and supporting company growth. As a Staff Accountant, you'll be responsible for managing high-volume Accounts Payable activities while supporting month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • 3+ years of full-cycle Accounts Payable experience
  • Experience with 3-way matching
  • Experience with month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and proactively solve problems

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full Accounts Payable cycle, processing approximately 200-250 invoices per month while ensuring accurate and timely vendor payments.
  • Prepare weekly payment runs, including 20-30 checks per week, and help support ongoing ACH payment improvements.
  • Maintain accurate AP records, vendor files, and supporting documentation in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Review and match invoices, verify approvals, and ensure proper coding and purchasing compliance.
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and post journal entries accurately and on schedule.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  • Provide support for Accounts Receivable processes as needed.
  • Partner with departments across the organization and communicate regularly with leadership to support business operations.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve accounting efficiencies.
  • Adapt to evolving systems, processes, and business needs while embracing new learning opportunities.
  • Assist with quarterly sales tax reporting.
  • Support special projects and serve as backup for accounting leadership when needed.
