About The Position

Atlanta City FC is hiring a Staff Accountant to join its Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Director, the position assists with day-to-day accounting, month-end close, annual audits, NWSL reporting, treasury management, control implementations, and other projects as assigned. The role is fully onsite at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, until 2028, when it will be based at the new training facility in Marietta, Georgia.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Use good judgment and demonstrate professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, and a collaborative style.
• Demonstrate high integrity, tact, and a positive attitude.
• Have strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrate decision-making, analytical, and entrepreneurial strategic-thinking abilities.
• Be able to act as a value-added business partner to peers and senior executives.
• Have strong Excel skills and knowledge of Windows-based finance systems.
• Be able to manage multiple assignments and projects concurrently, meeting strict deadlines under pressure.
• Be able to maintain confidential information.
• Maintain flexibility in work schedule to support events as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Public accounting or corporate accounting experience.
• CPA candidate.
• Experience with Great Plains, Concur, and Vena.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end close processes and journal entries.
• Maintain financial records and general ledger accounts.
• Assist in preparing account reconciliations.
• Manage check deposits and cash requests.
• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Track and reconcile capital expenditures.
• Prepare balance sheet and income statement variance analysis.
• Support annual audits and NWSL reporting requirements.
• Complete ad hoc analysis and other projects as assigned.
• Support events as needed by maintaining flexibility in the work schedule.
