About The Position

The Staff Accountant is a key member of our team. The Staff Accountant maintains general ledgers, prepares analyses and reports, and is responsible for supporting the closing process, financial reporting, and audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • At least two (2) years of relevant accounting experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and accounting software

Responsibilities

  • Maintain books and records for monthly bank statements, monthly reconciliation of all cash accounts
  • Enter journal entries and maintain the books and records of the fund or special purpose vehicles
  • Monitor and reconcile accounts (including intercompany transactions), and correct discrepancies
  • Preparing accounting information for internal reporting, regulatory and tax filings
  • Prepare and calculate investor equity allocation schedules, including NAV by investor
  • Calculating management fees & other performance fees
  • Prepare weekly payment runs and submit wires for approval, as needed
  • Assist with related ad hoc duties and projects, as needed
  • Updating information with vendors and third parties
  • Prepare periodic, year-end, quarterly, and regulatory reports, manage audits and review other fund-related reports
  • Liaise with various external and internal parties (e.g., fund managers, third-party fund administrators, external auditors, tax providers, operations, etc.) in the day-to-day accounting of the fund and other custom reporting and projects for specific investor needs
  • Assist the rest of team with financial, administrative, analysis and other additional tasks as they arise and any other duties which are reasonable and consistent with this position may be assigned to you from time to time
