About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Staff Accountant – Accounts Receivable to process, report, and analyze financial information, personally or in conjunction with other accounting staff. The role supports customer credit activities, responds to customer inquiries, communicates issues and disputes, and monitors subsidiary ledgers to help ensure proper internal controls. The position is based at one of the listed Kalahari locations: Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin; Sandusky, Ohio; Pocono Manor, Pennsylvania; Round Rock, Texas; or Spotsylvania County, Virginia. The listed pay rate is $20–$23 per hour.

Requirements

A two-year college degree, preferably in accounting, or equivalent education or experience.
Three to five years of employment in a related Finance/Accounting position with this company or another organization.
Knowledge of the accounting, finance, and hospitality profession.
A leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.

Nice To Haves

Hospitality accounting experience is preferred.
An accounting-focused two-year college degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the sales effort in establishing customer credit under Kalahari Resorts’ policies and procedures, including application processing, reference checks, credit limits, direct bill listings, deposit requirements, and other credit-related activities.
Respond effectively to customer inquiries in a timely manner.
Communicate issues and disputes to operating departments and the supervisor.
Monitor the guest ledger, advance deposit ledger, and other related subsidiary ledgers to ensure proper internal control.
Maximize productivity, identify problem areas, and assist in finding and implementing solutions.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
