About The Position

The SSD Builder examines, inspects, and inventories materials, finished parts, and products for defects and wear, and checks that they conform to inspection tasks, product descriptions, and reference materials. The role processes and assembles materials according to received sales orders.

Requirements

• Two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of the metric system.
• Experience using measurement equipment.
• Adhere to and support KLS Martin’s quality and safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to retrieve and interpret documentation.
• Ability to work in a team and independently under minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external contacts at all levels.
• Problem-solving, decision-making, adaptability, and flexibility.
• High level of customer service and a positive attitude.
• Ability to use a computer keyboard and specified computer software; retrieve and compile information; verify data; organize and prioritize tasks; operate office equipment; communicate verbally and in writing; and perform basic mathematical operations.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.

• Experience using SAP.

Responsibilities

• Assemble sets according to sales representatives’ requests.
• Generate sales orders from 1001 to fulfill orders when needed.
• Respond to inquiries from SSD Admin and other in-house employees, providing feedback by telephone, email, or in person.
• Contribute to and assist with process improvement initiatives.
• Keep the SSD build work area clean, safe, and orderly.
• Lock and secure SSD build desks before leaving work for the day.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
