About The Position

The Sr. Transportation Coordinator ensures timely booking of outbound international freight in alignment and communication with affiliate delivery demands, corporate sales targets, and product supply availability. The role works cross-functionally with corporate supply chain and intermarket members, lead accounting, third-party carriers, Nestlé Purina distribution centers, production plants, and customer distribution centers to ensure products are delivered to meet customer demand.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of freight forwarding experience, or a high school diploma and at least 5 years of freight forwarding experience.

Responsibilities

Submit AES (Automatic Export System) filings with CBP.
Prepare necessary documents and complete customs clearance procedures.
Manage shipment exceptions and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Conduct financial procedures and monitor operating metrics, including detention management, automation objectives, and expedite decisions.
Contact carriers to obtain the status of load-tendered shipments and monitor shipments through provided systems for on-time pickup, transit, and delivery.
Notify appropriate groups of ocean transportation issues and work with Intermarket to resolve them while maintaining affiliate satisfaction and on-time delivery.
Ensure the proper appointment schedule based on ocean carrier booking confirmations.
Manage returns in collaboration with the Accounting Lead and QA.
