About The Position

Visa is seeking a strategic, relationship-oriented Senior Technical Program Manager to lead portfolio management and governance across multiple technology organizations for the Client Services portfolio. The role drives alignment, transparency, prioritization, and execution across technology initiatives, including work spanning teams and leaders outside the role’s direct reporting structures. The successful candidate builds partnerships, navigates competing priorities, and translates technical concepts into clear business insights for executive audiences. The position leads portfolio governance, roadmap visibility, dependency tracking, risk management, prioritization, and execution. It partners with Technical Program Managers and Project Managers to coordinate plans, milestones, dependencies, and delivery risks, and establishes scalable frameworks, metrics, and reporting for portfolio health, resource constraints, delivery progress, risks, and investment decisions. The role develops technical depth across domains and works with engineering and architecture teams on roadmaps, platform strategies, architecture, and delivery dependencies. It prepares executive presentations, portfolio reviews, strategic recommendations, business updates, governance materials, and data-driven reporting. It also identifies opportunities to use AI, automation, and digital capabilities to improve visibility, reporting, decision-making, execution, and operational effectiveness. The Senior Technical Program Manager fosters collaboration, accountability, transparency, learning, and continuous improvement; mentors and coaches teams; and provides operational management leadership through processes, operating rhythms, resource coordination, performance monitoring, and issue resolution. The role is performed in an office setting, with at least three days in the office; the Hiring Manager will confirm expectations for those days. Work hours vary according to department needs, and travel is required 5–10% of the time.
