About The Position

The Senior Systems Analyst has a major role in developing Epic application solutions by investigating processes to understand data and communications flow, including individual tasks and transactions within Texas Children's Integrated Delivery System.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Nine years of experience in hospital information systems selection, implementation, and support.
• A bachelor's degree substitutes for four years of work experience.
• A master's degree substitutes for two years of work experience.
• Up to two years of clinical patient care and/or clinical research experience may substitute for up to two years of information systems experience on a month-to-month basis.
• Direct work experience at Epic Systems Corporation is counted at a premium: each year of Epic Systems Corporation experience counts as two years of experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or another related field.
• Clinical research experience.
• Project management experience.
• Epic Research Certification.

Responsibilities

• Translate users’ needs into detailed requirement specifications.
• Facilitate and support Epic system installation through the implementation cycle.
• Perform configuration analysis for system design.
• Analyze system problems and modifications.
• Coordinate implementation and upgrades of systems.
• Participate in the IDS Committee as an IS representative.
