About The Position

Amica’s Operational Risk Management Department is seeking an intern to work with its Enterprise Risk Management, Third-Party Risk Management, and Business Continuity teams. These highly visible, fast-paced groups identify key business processes, conduct business operational analysis, assess operational and enterprise risks, and monitor and report on those risks.

This is a paid internship of up to 37.5 hours per week, based in Amica’s Lincoln, Rhode Island office. The internship may extend through the school year at reduced hours to accommodate the student’s schedule. It is intended for students who have completed their sophomore or junior year at an accredited college or university before the summer internship begins and who will continue undergraduate studies in the fall.

Requirements

• Have completed sophomore or junior year at an accredited college or university before the start of the summer internship and plan to continue undergraduate studies in the fall.
• Be pursuing a degree in Risk Management, Actuarial studies, Management Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Have a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
• Submit a resume that includes GPA.
• Be able to work independently after receiving instruction.
• Have good interpersonal skills.
• Have working knowledge of, exposure to, and comfort using a variety of software and AI products, such as CoPilot, Claude, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and BI tools.
• Be flexible and willing to learn a variety of computer programs, such as Jira and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Enterprise Risk Management, Third-Party Risk Management, and Business Continuity teams.
• Contribute to the identification of key business processes and business operational analysis.
• Support the assessment, monitoring, and reporting of operational and enterprise risks.
